Mark your calendars and bring your questions. Member Education invites you to participate via ZOOM on Saturday January 10th at 10am to kick off the 2026 beekeeping season. We’ll discuss the following topics:
- How to assess your colonies’ stores; options for feeding; syrup vs solid
- Is a supplemental patty needed? What kind is appropriate in winter?
- Describe concerns / seek advice re: your colonies coming out of winter.
- Discuss important steps that can be taken to prepare your colonies for spring
All members are welcome to participate in this online zoom meeting! This is a great opportunity for both new and seasoned beekeepers to discuss winter bee health and early spring preparation. Let’s keep our hives alive and get ready for the spring buildup of our colonies.
