Mark your calendar and bring your questions! Member Education invites you to participate on Saturday, May 13, at 2:00PM to kick off the fourth mini bee day of 2023 beekeeping season! Hosted by experienced MDBA beekeeper, Jeff Bairey, this is your opportunity to:
- Learn as we go through one of the Lafayette Community Garden hives (live!).
- See the bees and what they’re doing now that Spring is in full swing.
- Describe concerns / seek advice re: managing your colonies.
Special focus will be on new (years 1 - 4) beekeepers getting started. This mini bee day will examine what’s happening in our hives now that Spring is in full swing! Remember: there is no stupid question when it comes to beekeeping! It's a continual learning process.
